Marine parks campaign

By marking the area of the ocean as a marine park we are saying that that is a special area, and needs special attention and protection. We are telling the community, and visitors, that it is a wilderness with special natural values.

In an age of increasing threats to these isolated small areas of special wilderness values, we need to do more to keep them healthy for future generations.

Marine Life Network is sponsoring a campaign to start an adult dialogue about marine parks. Tasmania has a strategy, but it has stalled since 2007 and we can do more.
